Meet Richard Wright

My name is Richard N Wright, and I am running to be your next Georgia Senator representing District 38.

My passion for public service and the desire to improve my community and the district led me to run for public office.

Dollars for the District is my favorite saying.

I am running to improve all aspects of life for each and every individual and each and every business in District 38 from Sandy Spring to Palmetto. I moved to Atlanta in 1997 with $500, a GED and a dream. My Mother after many a conversation finally convinced me to enroll in college. I attend Herzing College where I earned a BS in Business Administration. I decided to further my education. I enrolled in Stayer University and graduated with my MBA. I then took on the monumental task of taking and passing the CPA exam to be become a licensed CPA.

I then went on to receive my Master of Legal Studies from Arizona State’s “Sandra Day O’Conner Law School”. After the passing of the Jobs Act in 2018, I attended Georgetown University Law School where he received a Certificate in International Tax Law. While at Georgia I joined the American Bar Association and remain very active with the Business Section. My education, corporate work experience, life experience, and love for this district will allow me to properly represent each constituent in district 38.

I am a rational, service leader who believes in effective government, economic development, affordable housing and the importance of working across the aisle to get legislation passed for my constituents. My platform is committed to promoting economic development, creating a strong business ecosystem throughout the district. The ability to leader and serve is what make makes me a strong candidate to represent the citizens of Georgia.

I believe in having strong moral character and making ethical decisions, both in my personal life and as a public servant. It is important to me to maintain integrity, honesty, and accountability in all that I do.
